Barnes & Noble basically gave up on making its own hardware a couple of years ago when it decided to team up with Samsung to launch co-branded Nook tablets. Samsung provided its Galaxy Tab tablets while Nook installed its custom software and slapped its branding. That’s how it has been for the past couple of years but the company is now back with a new $50 Nook tablet.
