I can imagine the many thousands of business cards that has changed hands at CES even in the first day itself. If you want to truly stand out from the rest of the crowd, why not look towards the future? EyeJot might be on to something here with the idea of a ‘video business card’, known as the EyeJot vCard. This digital card will incorporate video alongside the relevant contact information that you want to share with others, posing as the next generation of business cards. With Eyejot’s video mail application, mobile users are able to create and send up to five unique digital contact cards instantaneously.

As for the kind of information that you want to include, it really depends on you, but make sure you do not throw in too much personal information that might be detrimental to your future job applications, especially when your potential employers check out drunk images of you partying on your social network. The Eyejot vCard will require mobile users to enter a contact’s email address and hit send, where an importable VCF will be created and include a QR barcode as well as link to a Google map of where contact was made for easy reference. You can download the EyeJot vCard app here.
