[CES 2012] iHome has come up with one interesting-looking dock for tablets. Called the IDM5, this keyboard dock does more than just act as a keyboard. The IDM5′s keyboard is on an elevated base which makes typing on the tablet a more ergonomic and (hopefully) productive experience. It also has onboard speakers to amplify the audio from your tablet, and an onboard microphone which you can use to make hands-free calls.
No word on pricing or a release date yet, but this is one interesting looking dock we don’t mind getting our hands on. Plus it does make your tablet look like a fancy typewriter: a plus point for folks who yearn for the good old days before computers overtook the world.
