If you happen to own the rugged superphone from Verizon Wireless known as the Casio G’zOne Commando, then you might be interested to know that this particular handset has just received push-to-talk capability thanks to the latest software update. This will be a free service, and apart from receiving walkie-talkie capability on your phone, the software update will also deliver improved security, replacing the V CAST Video app with Verizon Video, throw in a bunch of new system alerts, and fixes a range of bugs. You will be able to download the update in an Over The Air (OTA) transmission, and check out the instructions here (warning: PDF link) if you are not too sure how to go about it, as well as read more about the benefits from this software update. Anyone out there who has already installed the software update who wants to comment on your G’zOne’s performance?
