The folks over at iFixit kept themselves busy recently by taking apart the Sony PS Vita – while the closest that our efforts came to compared to iFixit was to record an unboxing video which you can watch over here. Let us focus on what iFixit has discovered with Sony’s most recent portable gaming device – apart from the standard issue screws and fittings in a modular design, it was specially devised for easy deconstruction in seasoned hands. So far, the “autopsy” revealed a 2,200mAh battery, SDRAM from Toshiba, and an OLED display which has been fused to the plastic. Not exactly impossible to repair when it is spoilt, but then again, being fused means it is rather difficult, either.
