There are a couple of MMORPGs designed for mobile devices, although none of them could hope to compete against a full fledged MMORPG like SWTOR, WoW, Everquest, Lineage, etc due to the complexity and depth of these games for full computer systems, but apparently that has not stopped Blizzard from considering bringing their highly-popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft (WoW), over onto mobile devices.
There have been several rumors in the past that Blizzard might be considering a WoW port, and according to an interview given to Eurogamer by senior WoW producer, John Lagrave, “It would be foolish for any game developer to not be looking at that and we’re not – we don’t think- we’re foolish!” However it should be noted that this should not be taken as confirmation in any way, but it should rather be interpreted as Blizzard exploring the possibility that one day World of Warcraft could be brought over onto our smartphones or tablets.
