Looking forward to seeing what EA has in store as far as their Need For Speed franchise is concerned? Well it seems that thanks to South African online gaming retailer, BTGames, the next Need For Speed franchise could very well be the sequel to Most Wanted. The gaming retailer has outed on its website a pre-order page and titled it, Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2. The title has since been removed but not before a screenshot of the page had been captured.
No word on a release date or the details of the game, but according to past reports, developer Criterion is supposedly the one behind the sequel. They were spotted hiring for an open world racer project last summer, lending to the speculation that the project that they were working on could be from the Need For Speed franchise. Will it be titled Most Wanted 2? Perhaps that could just be a placeholder used by BTGames, but we will be keeping our eyes peeled so check back with us at a later date for more details.
