Have you enjoyed the Resident Evil franchise? Similar to following your favorite band or your favorite author, you might be interested to hear that Resident Evil’s creator, Shinji Mikami, is currently working on a new horror game. His studio, Tango Gameworks, will be working together with publisher Bethesda Softworks on a survival-horror game that has been given the codename, Zwei. Details of the game are unknown at this point in time, but Mikami has promised that it will be scary as heck, describing the game as a “pure” survival horror game that will push the limits of fear and exhilaration.

“A true ‘survival horror’ game is one in which the player confronts and overcomes fear […] I’ve found my focus, and once again I’m striving for pure survival horror. I am being very hands-on in the development of this game to ensure that the quality is there. Rest assured.”

A teaser website for the upcoming game has been uploaded along with some of the artwork from the game, giving players a glimpse of the kind of tone that they will be able to expect from the game upon its release. We have to admit that it looks pretty dark and looks like it should be able to give players a good scare. No word on its release but stay tuned for updates.
