verizon

As we previously reported, there were rumors floating around the internet as to when Verizon devices like the Motorola XOOM 3G/4G tablets and HTC Rezound would be getting their update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich from the carrier. Now however, a leaked screenshot has surfaced from within the carrier’s walls apparently. With wrong information flying everywhere these days it would be best to not take this information as the gospel truth but the kernels of data within the screenshot would put a smile on the faces of those of you who use Verizon’s HTC Rezound, Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx or Motorola XOOM 3G/4G tablets.

The screenshot indicates that the ICS update for the HTC Rezound is close to finishing its testing phase reportedly by May 7th followed by the completion of the test-phase for the ICS update for the Motorola RAZR duo. As for the Motorola XOOM 3G/4G Android tablets, it seems to be getting the OS update directly from Google but the release dates are not stated within the alleged screenshot. If the information contained within the leaked screenshot is accurate, owners of the HTC Rezound from Verizon can expect their over-the-air (OTA) ICS update on the 9th of May with a file as large as 297MB while the update for both the RAZR Maxx and the RAZR will find users OTA as well on the 21st of May with a 341MB file.
