NVIDIA logoNVIDIA had quite a bit of news to announce, such as Tegra Grey which will fuse the Tegra chips with LTE, and the NVIDIA Icera LTE modem. Not just content with those announcements, NVIDIA’s GM, Mike Rayfield, has also revealed that the company is expecting to see a whopping 30 quad-core Tegra-3 powered devices by the end of 2012! Yup it looks like if quad-core smartphones are on your shopping list, it seems that you will have at least 30 NVIDIA Tegra-3 devices to choose from this year alone, and that’s not counting other smartphones from Samsung which could utilize the company’s Exynos quad-core processor as well. Now if you’re thinking that quad-core would mean that it will only be for high-end smartphones, it seems that NVIDIA has you covered and the range of devices that will be powered by Tegra-3 will cover high end and budget devices as well. Of course no names were mentioned, but assuming they meet their goal, you can be sure that we will be covering as many of them as we can, so check back with us at a later date for more info!
