Just when you thought that the idea of having a blog is already as social as it can get, along comes Facebook, the social networking giant at its prime at the moment, with a new WordPress tool that is said to transform your blogging experience into an even more social one. Sweeping integrations for WordPress.org and WordPress.com VIP users were announced earlier this Tuesday, allowing you to include your blog content to the social network with but a single click. The integrations are made possible via a Facebook for WordPress plugin that can be downloaded here, enabling bloggers and administrators of WordPress-based sites in order to cross-publish content to WordPress, in addition to their Facebook Timelines as well as the numerous Facebook Pages which they are lords of.

Facebook engineer Matt Kelly introduced the tool by saying, “The plugin was built by Facebook engineers in collaboration with open source partners, and makes it simple for anyone to make their WordPress site more social – no coding required.”

Right now, with WordPress powering over 16% of the web, it would make perfect sense for Facebook to tap into this particular segment, and hopefully, can leverage further on their 900 million plus users. Sounds like a win-win situation for both companies, don’t you think so?
