Lamborghini, the famous Italian automaker, has recently introduced a myriad of luxury mobile devices for the Russian market. The company unveiled a total of four devices – three handsets and one tablet. Surprisingly, one mobile device and the tablet are both running Android 2.3. Lamborghini’s Android luxury handset is dubbed Lamborghini TL700. Essentially, it features a 3.7 inch WVGA sapphire crystal display, a 5 megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 4 GB of memory and a 1,400 mAh battery. The Lamborghini TL700 is also reported to be powered by a Qualcomm processor. But the luxury lies in its casing since it is made out of gold and crocodile skin. The Android 2.3-powered device will reportedly retail for 90,000 RUB, or around $2,750.
On the other hand, the Lamborghini L2800 tablet, also running Gingerbread, sports a 9.7 inch 1024 × 768 pixels sapphire crystal display, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage capacity, a MicroSD card support and a reported 1.2 GHz Qualcomm processor. But unlike the TL700 handset, the tablet doesn’t seem to be made out of gold. But we’re hearing that this tablet might get Android Ice Cream Sandwich along the way. The Lamborghini L2800 tablet is expected to retail for 75,000 RUB or roughly $2,290. The two Android-powered devices are expected to launch in Russia sometime in August. Unfortunately, no word for an international release was heard.
