Apart from the buttery smooth features that come with Android 4.1 a.k.a. Jelly Bean, Android users running ICS or lower are also eager to try out one nifty feature – Google Now. We were able to test Google Now on the Nexus 7 tablet and we think that it’s awesome. Today’s update, however, on Google search seems heading into that same direction. Google has just announced that it has made some improvements on Google Search, allowing it to be “richer, more beautiful, and more interactive.”

Basically when users will search for the current weather of the day via their smartphone or tablet, they will be able to see a new 10-day and hourly weather forecast. Also, the calculator feature has been improved now allowing users to search for any calculation on google.com and they will also get a fully functional scientific calculator. Google said that the updates will be rolling out first to English users on mobile devices.

“Today when you search on mobile or tablet, you’ll see some more improvements in the way we provide these quick answers, including better understanding what information you need and surfacing the most relevant information for you,” Google said. “For example, in our flight status quick answer, we’ve included a flight progress indicator and increased the size of arrival and departure times so you can quickly see when your loved ones will be landing.”
