I don’t know about you, but when it rains, it pours, and so the same can be said of this particular hardware specification leak of the HTC Desire X, where some have called it the HTC Proto in the past. Basically, Proto is the smartphone’s code name by HTC, and chances are pretty good that HTC will have the Desire X as part of its handset lineup at IFA 2012 in Berlin, Germany. To put it in a nutshell, the HTC Desire X will come with a 4” Super LCD display at WVGA resolution, tipping the scales at 114 grams while measuring 118.5mm x 62.3mm x 9.3mm.

Apart from that, it will also feature support for HSPA/WCDMA(Asia/Europe 900/2100 MHz), GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) networks, carry a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash, a backside illumination sensor, F2.0, 28mm lens with WVGA video recording capability, the HTC Image Sense Chip, a 1GHz dual core processor, 4GB ROM, 768MB RAM, a microSD memory card slot, 25GB of Dropbox space for 2 years, a 1,650 mAh battery which thankfully, is removable, Beats Audio support, Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC Sense 4.1 running right out of the box.

Expect the HTC Desire X to arrive in blue and white colors.
