It is official – AT&T has just announced that they will be making available the Samsung Galaxy Camera, this after we saw it arrive at the FCC. The Galaxy Camera is different from the other digital cameras in the market simply because it is powered by Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system while remaining connected to the Internet thanks to AT&T’s 4G mobile internet connectivity. Not only are Android users able to dive right into the Galaxy Camera out of the box due to the familiar user interface, one is also able to access a slew of favorite Android applications directly from the Google Play market.

Just to recap, the Galaxy Camera comes with a 4.8-inch HD Super Clear LCD display with a 21x optical zoom lens and a super-bright 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, running on a quad-core 1GHz processor, while throwing in powerful features such as Smart Pro Mode technology that lets you toggle through a series of pre-set options for an easier photo taking experience. You need not wait until Christmas for the Galaxy Camera to arrive, as AT&T has said that it will go on sale in the “coming weeks”, and pricing details will be revealed in due time as well.
