If you’re familiar with 3D printing, then you’ve probably heard about MakerBot, the New York-based company that makes 3D printers. Recently they launched a couple of new features on its Thingiverse website that will allow users to fine, manage, and follow their favorite digital designs. The newly-added features on Thingiverse includes a Dashboard that will be an all-in-one place to track your favorite digital designs, designers, and activity on the platform. To access the Thingiverse Dashboard, just click the top left tab on the homepage upon signing in.

Other things that you can do with the new dashboard feature will be to follow other users and designers to get updates, keep track on your designs, check out who’s following you, and view tags or categories that you might find interesting. Users will also see a red update badge on the screen whenever there is an update. Additionally, Thingiverse now has a new “Follow” button that will connect you to the things, digital designs, designers, users, tags, and categories.

“Thingiverse has been a driving force in the world of 3D desktop printing for some time,” noted Bre Pettis, CEO and co-founder of MakerBot. “I wake up every morning and the first thing I do is check-out what has been uploaded to Thingiverse. The potential for sharing and printing a 3D design created in say, Germany, with someone in Los Angeles is really happening today; we are proud to provide the creative platform that facilitates this type of sharing.”
