If you enjoy reading news on your smartphone or tablet, you might be pleased to learn that News Republic 3.0 has been released. For those unfamiliar, News Republic is a free app available on iOS, Android as well as Windows 8 that allows its users to read news from various news outlets. Version 3.0 will introduce an all new design along with other features such as complete articles and 100% licensed content. Readers will be able to pull news feeds from providers such as The Independent, TechCrunch, Huffington Post, Business Insider and more.

For those new to News Republic, in a way you could think of the app similar to other news curating apps such as Flipboard. You will be able to build your own news channels as well as be alerted when topics pop up that are deemed to be of interest and relevance to you. These articles can then be further researched by using the TagNav Cloud feature which will call up even more related articles.
