lg-avatarbookLG Electronics has just announced their latest app for the Smart TV range which is child-friendly, calling it Avatarbook. The Avatarbook is an easy-to-use application which will transport your little ones right smack into the middle of their favorite stories and songs. For instance, your kids will be able to check out themselves on the screen itself, where they will play the role of the main characters in animated versions of classics that range from Aladdin to Pinocchio and Alice in Wonderland.

Rest assured, you will be on the receiving end of plenty of smiles and laughter with the LG Avatarbook, as it plays a role in ensuring that young learners will be able to engage more directly with age-appropriate literature as well as music. For those who want to know how they can enjoy Avatarbook, it is simple enough that kids can jump right into it without any adult help. First of all, they begin by snapping a photo of themselves using LG Smart TV’s built-in camera. With over 20 different hairstyles to choose from, in addition to being able to alter the size, shape and contrast of their new avatar’s face, the final selection will appear onscreen in the form of a cute animated storybook or song character. Expect to see the Avatarbook arrive on the LG App Store from April onwards, where it will receive new content from time to time. [Press Release]
