asus-memopadhdA few days ago, we brought you word that Asus could very well roll out their fair share of new devices at the upcoming Computex 2013 showcase event, with a tablet being a very probable candidate. The thing is, there was nothing specific mentioned about this possible tablet release, but at least we have a better idea today with the possible launch of the Asus Memo Pad HD that will continue from where the extremely affordable 7-inch Memo Pad that was released earlier this year.

The Asus Memo Pad HD will continue to carry a 7” IPS display to maintain its form factor, where it will boast of a 1,280 x 720 pixel count resolution. This move alone in terms of hardware would clearly place it nearly on par with Google’s Nexus 7 – yet another tablet that so happened to be manufactured by the good folks over at Asus, too, although the Nexus 7 does have a slightly higher resolution count of 1,280 x 800 pixels. Speculated hardware specifications of the Asus Memo Pad HD include Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, 1GB RAM, a quad-core 1.6GHz processor, and 16GB of internal memory. Hopefully there is a leaked image of it waiting to be unleashed sometime, somewhere down the road.
