To follow up on a class act can be quite challenging regardless of what industry you are in. Take Motorola for instance, they more or less fell victim to the overwhelming success of their RAZR range of phones back in the day, and virtually anything else that came out after that was inevitably compared to the RAZR family. Well, good to know that Motorola has somewhat experienced a revival of sorts in recent times, and another instance would be Rovio with their Angry Birds game franchise. Will anything else they roll out in the future ever be bigger than Angry Birds? That is hard to tell, and Mojang might be in a similar boat with the popularity of the game that they call Minecraft. Mojang’s upcoming title will be called Scrolls, where it is tipped to be released this coming June 3rd.

Scrolls is a digital collectible card game, and for those who are familiar with Magic: The Gathering, chances are you will be right at home with Scrolls, and Minecraft gamers will definitely find it to be a departure from the usual free-form world-building and exploration sim that they have come to know nad love. Scrolls has been in development for a number of years already, and it is just about ready for a public release. Do you think it will be as successful as Minecraft?
