If you were hoping to see more Microsoft franchises find their way into Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, then you’ll be pleased to learn that Nintendo has announced that both Steve and Alex from Minecraft will be making their debut in the game as a DLC that will be available on the 13th of October.

This will be part of the Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 collection which will not only include these two characters from Minecraft, but will also feature Minecraft themed stages as well as several music additions. In addition to that, these characters will also a couple of Minecraft specific themed attacks, such as the ability to create blocks and use it as a form of defense, but also craft items to be used.

There will also be an ultimate ability called House of Boom that will toss their opponents into a pile of explosive Creepers. This DLC will be priced at $30 and will include other characters, but in case you just want only Steve and Alex, you’ll be able to buy them in the form of the Challenger pack for $6.

Minecraft is not the first Microsoft title to be added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Previously, we saw Nintendo add Banjo and Kazooie from the Banjo-Kazooie franchise from way back in the day.
