facebook

Facebook has over 1 billion users from around the world, the social network is also used by high profile celebrities to update their fans about their work and what not. Recently Facebook started testing verified Pages with a small number of celebrities, this feature would enable users to interact with the genuine page of their favorite celebrities without getting lost in the web of fake Pages that are a dime a dozen on the world’s biggest social network. Facebook may now be working on an app exclusively for celebrities, AllThingsD reports, claiming that the app is currently being tested with a small group of celebrities. The app apparently allows them, or the people who handle their social media presence, see what is being said about them on Facebook and will even let them join the conversation through that exclusive app.

To get an idea of exactly how this app will work, let us consider a fictional scenario. A leading actor wins an Oscar which leads to conversations and commentary from fans as well as general Facebook users. The app would allow that particular actor to easily sift through those conversations and comments, even reply to them if they so desire. This should theoretically make it more easier for celebrities to interact with their fans on the go, providing them a detailed insight about what’s being said about them and a clear channel for them to easily interact. The report cites a Facebook spokesperson saying that they will reveal more information about this project once it begins to be rolled out.
