Polaroid has announced that at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas it is going to showcase its new Q series tablets. The series is comprised of the Q7, Q8 and the Q10 tablets, with 7, 8 and 10 inch displays, respectively. All three tablets are Wi-Fi enabled and tout “super-fast” quadcore processors. They also run the latest Android firmware, Android 4.4 KitKat, out of the box. President and CEO of Polaroid Scott W. Hardy said that sleek design and affordable price point are what make the new Q series tablets a great choice.

The company says that these tablets are perfect for entertainment and sharing on the go. Without going into specifics, it claims that each tablet features an “extended battery life,” and boasts front mounted speakers, HDMI and Bluetooth. Front and rear cameras are present as well. Specifics about the internal hardware have not been revealed as yet, we’ll get to know more once these tablets are showcased at CES 2014. Since the tablets are powered by Android, customers will have full access to the Google Play Store for apps, games and other content. Polaroid’s Q series tablets go on sale in spring 2014 with manufacturer suggested retail prices between $129.00- $179.00, more information is available through the company’s website.
