Samsung-shop-Selfridges-Dalziel-and-Pow-LondonIf there is one advantage that Apple has over the competition, it would be how ubiquitous their retail stores are. It is everywhere in almost every major city around the world, and in some cases there are even a few stores within a single city. For countries where Apple does not officially operate in, they have authorized resellers who basically emulate Apple’s own retail stores in their products, offerings, and services. Well now it looks like Samsung might be interested in giving Apple a run for their money by partnering up with Carphone Warehouse which will see Samsung open up 60 retail stores across Europe.

As it stands, Samsung and Carphone Warehouse have three retail outlets in Spain and presumably they have done well enough to warrant opening another 60 across Europe. The stores are expected to carry Samsung’s range of smartphones, tablets, laptops, and wearables, such as the Samsung Galaxy Gear. According to Carphone Warehouse’s CEO, Andrew Harrison, “We are delighted to have been chosen as Samsung’s preferred European partner for their store rollout. Our Connected World Services business will combine Carphone Warehouse’s retailing expertise and systems with one of the world’s biggest brands and will help us make even more lives better through connected technology.” It remains to see if Samsung’s series of stores will have the same amount of success as Apple’s, but without a doubt Samsung will have their presence felt at the very least.
