Thanks to a sighting on Amazon’s servers yesterday, the Imperial Edition version of The Elder Scrolls Online MMO was revealed. Now the good news for gamers wondering how much it would cost is that Bethesda has since taken to its blog to confirm the news along with a new 8 minute cinematic trailer as well that will hopefully get gamers into the mood and excitement at the upcoming game. It also appears that yesterday’s leak also corroborates the goodies that gamers can look forward to.

This includes a 12-inch Molag Bal statue, an Improved Emperor’s Guide to Tamriel, a physical map of Tamriel, Steelbook packaging, and exclusive digital content that consists of the ability to play as an Imperial, a white Imperial horse, a mudcrab vanity pet, and Rings of Mara. The Imperial Edition will be available on PC and Mac for $99.99, while there is a digital Imperial Edition which basically does not include the physical goodies, only the digital ones, which will go for $79.99.

Bethesda has also announced early order bonuses for those who order either the standard or the Imperial Edition of the game. For those who pre-purchase, they will be given the Explorer’s Pack bonus at launch which includes the Scuttler vanity pet, four bonus treasure maps, and the ability to play as any of the nine races in any Alliance. Pre-purchasers will also be given a 5 day early access bonus.

Oddly enough there was no mention about the Imperial Edition for the PS4 or the Xbox One, despite the image yesterday showing off a PS4 border, but perhaps that might be announced later on. The Elder Scrolls Online standard and Imperial Editions can be ordered via Bethesda’s online store where the PC/Mac version of the game will see a release on the 4th of April, while PS4 and Xbox One gamers can expect their copy in June.
