surface-power-coverWe did mention some time last week that Microsoft’s Surface Power Cover accessory is all set to ship later this month, and it seems that demand for this particular accessory has been impressive to say the least – considering how the listing for the Power Cover on the Microsoft Store website points to it as being “out of stock”. Apart from that, the Surface Power Cover also no longer shows up on the list of available accessories for the tablet range. Microsoft’s initial mention of the Power Cover happened during its Surface 2/Pro 2 launch event in September last year.

It remains to be seen as to when Microsoft would be able to work on obtaining additional units of the Surface Power Cover in order to sell, so those who managed to sneak in their respective pre-orders ought to be able to see their shipments arrive in a couple of days’ time. It is also unclear as to whether any of the company’s retail store locations in the U.S and Canada will start to sell the Surface Power Cover later this week.

Just a quick refresher course just in case you were wondering – the Surface Power Cover would play nice with the Surface 2, Surface Pro and Pro 2 tablets, and it supposedly boosts the battery life of the mentioned devices by up to 70%, apart from functioning as a cover and keyboard. [Product Page]
