myblee-math-app

myBlee today announced the launch of a new iPad app called myBlee Math. Its certainly the first of its kind, aimed at making children learn, practice and review elementary school maths on their own, through an iPad. Two years of research and development by experienced teachers has gone behind the creation of myBlee Math, which covers all grade level standards in the Common Core for K-6.

Founder and CEO of myBlee, Laetitia Grail, describes the app as a “compelling long-term learning solution” which is empowering and intellectually stimulating to parents, teachers and kids. Grail, a former math teacher, created this to enable kids to do more than just poke numbers on a screen.

An amusing teddy bear guides children through the app, ensuring that they’re never bored while learning something new everyday. A quirky British tutor character acts as a teacher. Apart from these characters, the app also includes puzzles, badges, trophies, a personalized curriculum based on the child’s grade, level and learning needs as well as an in-app dashboard for parents to follow their child’s progress.

myBlee Math offers learning on more than 1,000 math topics that are organized around 15 categories, including but not limited to metric length, fractions, decimal numbers, place values, counting and mental math.

myBlee Math is free for thirty minutes in the first week, and for ten minutes every week thereafter. Subscription to the full version costs $10.99 per month, there is also a one time fee for $10.99 for additional languages. There are no in-app purchases that may potentially distract kids from the learning experience.
