acer-travelmate-bMany modern day notebooks do come with some pretty spectacular hardware specifications, especially on the high end side of things. This would also translate to the need for a cooling system that actually works as the insides of such a notebook can heat up rather quickly, which also means you might hear the whirring of the internal fan as the revolutions per minute crank up to their maximum speed. Acer’s TravelMate B115P, however, takes the exact opposite approach as it sports a fanless chassis.

The Acer TravelMate B115P happens to be an 11.6” notebook that has up to 10 hours of battery life on a full charge, and the case itself measures slightly more than 0.8” thin. This particular notebook ha been announced in the UK, where it ought to arrive later this July for approximately £349 a pop, and it remains to be seen whether the TravelMate B115P will make its way across the pond or not.

Underneath the hood, one will find a quad-core Intel Pentium processor, up to 8GB RAM, and up to a 128GB solid state drive. Those who are on a tighter budget can settle for lesser specifications, including 4GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive, and a dual-core Celeron processor. It will run on Windows 8.1 as the operating system of choice, and since it lacks the fan in the chassis, it ought to be one of the quieter machines out there although do not expect it to provide the kind of processing firepower a dedicated gaming laptop can.
