lenovo-golden-warrior-a8It was reported earlier this morning that Lenovo has the intention to flood the market with 60 smartphones this year. Now that is definitely a number that is pretty high regardless of which smartphone manufacturer you are, and even Nokia back in their heydays did not manage to deliver so many new handsets in a calendar year. Who knows, the recently announced Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 might be one of the fabled 60?

Expect the Golden Warrior A8 to arrive with an octa-core MT-6592 CPU from MediaTek, sporting Android 4.4.2 KitKat pre-installed on the smartphone to help you get started right out of the box. Apart from that, it will feature a “ho-hum” 5” display at 720 x 1,280 resolution, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The back camera will capture photos at 13MP, while up front, you will be able to shoot some pretty decent selfies with a 5MP camera. Fret not about low light conditions in a room, since the dual LED flash located at the back of the handset ought to be able to chase away all darkness.

The Golden Warrior A8, strangely enough, will also arrive in shades of black, white, and pink if gold is not your cup of tea. So far, its availability worldwide remains unknown, but we do know that it will be priced from just $128 a pop.
