galaxy-tab-4-8.0-t-mobile

We had heard chatter earlier in the week that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 would make its way to T-Mobile soon. The “uncarrier” today confirmed that as it opened up pre-registration for the Samsung tablet on its network. It is the second device T-Mobile has added to its lineup in under a week, just a couple of days back it started taking pre-orders for the LG G3, which is going to be shipped to customers in a couple of weeks.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is being offered under T-Mobile’s Table Freedom program which allows existing subscribers to add it to their Simple Choice Plan for no additional cost. Through to the end of 2014 customers will receive 1.2GB of free LTE data monthly and beyond that 200MB of free data per month as long as they continue to use the tablet.

Mind you the carrier has started pre-registration and not pre-orders, if you want to pick one up you will have to wait until July 16th since that’s when the carrier’s website will start accepting orders for the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. The tablet will hit shelves in T-Mobile retail stores on July 23rd.

On T-Mobile’s equipment installment plan the tablet is available for $0 down with 24 monthly payments of $16. Full retail price is $384. This LTE-compatible tablet has a 8-inch display, 1.5GB RAM and a 4,450mAh battery. If you’re not looking for a portable powerhouse then this is a good moderately priced tablet.
