bizreachI remember that there is a saying that goes something like this, “If John cannot go to the mountain, then the mountain will come to John.” For those of you who happen to be cubicle zombies and have not taken a vacation since forever might be interested in what Japan-based Bizreach has to offer the masses. Basically, Bizreach will be able to bring a sense of being at the beach – never mind if your office is stuck right smack in the middle of the city. How does it achieve this feat? By bringing in sand and a projection of virtual waves, of course.

In order to achieve the look of a beach, Bizreach will deliver projected 3D images of lapping water, not to mention playing back ocean sounds which are capable of soothing even the most ragged soul at the office, as well as bringing in up to two tonnes of actual sand. I shudder to think of the building that has every single office space there add another 2 tonnes of sand – will the foundations be able to hold then?

It goes without saying that such a seaside theme will be able help staff relax, as well as add a dash of inspiration. Bizreach employee Ayami Oda shared, “It’s air-conditioned in here, so it’s a bit different from the hot summer beach, but other than that I feel almost like I’m working on a beach. And the sound of the waves help me concentrate.”
