pop2-1ALCATEL ONETOUCH has been kept pretty busy the past couple of days, and this time around we have brought you word on the official POP 2 family of devices. Expect ALCATEL ONETOUCH’s POP 2 range to arrive in five panel sizes, where there will also be five other colorful covers that arrive in the box itself in order to deliver variety in an entry-level LTE smartphone.

In fact, the POP 2 range happens to be one of the first in the market that will commercialize Qualcomm’s most recent quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor, which in turn supports extremely fast LTE connectivity too. Downloading large files should be more of a breeze this time around, as it will rely on both network connections – 4G LTE and Wi-Fi in order for the user to enjoy an unparalleled download speed.

Not only that, there will be a slew of other features that ordinary users will find useful – and they include the one-finger zoom, a mini-apps application that would allow you to make use of a particular app without having to go through the launch process, and a QR code reader among others.

Do expect the POP 2 to arrive in a premium edition too, where this particular model will make use of sleeker premium materials, and you can choose from either 4.5” or 5” sizes. [Press Release]
