metal-gear-solid-5-the-phantom-painOne of the benefits of playing an open-world game is that gamers get to explore the world and environment they are in without much restrictions. This is compared to games back in the day where the environment was quite restricted and gamers were only allowed to go where the developers told them they could.

Well the good news is that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be an open-world game. The bad news? Well as far as missions are concerned, movement is a tad restricted. What this means is that if you aren’t on a mission, you’re pretty much free to roam around the world as you wish.

However when you get a mission, you will be restricted to a particular area, so the minute you step out of the area, you will fail the mission. Missions can also be failed if the gamer procrastinates too much which will discourage gamers from taking their time. We suppose in a way this helps speed things along and ensures the game is always progressing.

At the same time it also seems to discourage gamers who might be more interested in taking their time. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be seeing a release in 2015 where it will be available on the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and the PlayStation 4.
