facebook sell groupsWe’re sure that most of us are part of a Facebook Group. Maybe it’s just a group of friends who want a dedicated place to share links, photos, or organize events, or maybe it could be part of a group of fashion bloggers who are looking to sell clothes, accessories, and whatnot online. Well it seems that Facebook is interested in giving you guys a helping hand should you have anything you’d like to sell.

According to some who have noticed, Facebook appears to be testing a new feature for groups which basically allows the poster to sell goods via the “Sell Something” option, which you can see in the screenshot above. Unlike a regular post, “Sell Something” comes with dedicated fields to allow the user to share a description, price, and a photo, thus creating a more uniform look. Posters can even specify pickup or delivery options.

However once the post is made, Facebook pretty much washes their hands off everything, meaning that the deal is now between you and whoever posted it. This also means that should you get scammed, Facebook is in no way responsible and will not be reimbursing you, unlike other options like eBay where you might have PayPal protection.

Like we said earlier, this feature appears to be in testing and some of you guys may or may not see it in your groups. It is unclear if the feature will be made public eventually or if it will fall by the wayside as an experiment, but what do you guys think? Is this a feature you’d like to see Facebook bring to its groups?
