This venture was launched alongside the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children so that information will be delivered in specific, targeted search areas after an abduction occurs.
Such alerts will make their way to mobile devices too, which means desktop users are not the only ones who will see these. Other than photos, additional and important details will be put up, and you can also share them with friends or link to the latest information provided.
Facebook received inspiration to add such alerts after missing children were recovered thanks to independently posted information by users.
