homm-3-androidHow many of you remember Heroes of Might and Magic III fondly? I know that I have spent a fair number of hours on that particular game, and more than one and a half decades later, the game can still be a time sink if you are not careful with your self discipline and time management. This 1999 turn-based strategy title happens to be one of the best in the Heroes of Might and Magic series, and just about any gamer worth his or her salt who is into the tactical and/or fantasy genre ought to have given it a go by now. Well, if you were not born back then, or missed it out completely, fret not – there will be a copy of it heading your way, in High Definition to boot, on both iOS and Android platforms for $9.99 a pop.

It is time to dig up the old strategy book and blow the dust off. After all, you will first need to ensure that your castle is well defended, and figure out where to branch out from there in terms of troops as well as research. Not only that, you will also need to explore the map, and spend your limited turns wisely in order to emerge as the victor at the end of the day.

There is the old fashioned hot-seat multiplayer mode, so those who are stuck on long road trips with a buddy can always give this title a go. Of course, the average match would definitely take some time, so be prepared to get impatient with your fellow player!
