lg-ces-oled-tv[CES 2015] A few years ago, 4K televisions were still something of a novelty as they were namely too expensive for most people to afford. Fast forward to today, 4K displays are starting to become more affordable and if you’re looking to get a new 4K TV for yourself, you might be interested to learn that LG has announced that they have expanded their OLED TV lineup with seven new 4K OLED TVs.

These 4K OLED TVs will vary in terms of their type. For example LG has your regular flat 4K OLED TVs, but they have also announced flexible and curved models as well, which might appeal to those who are interested in getting in on the curved TV experience which is said to be more immersive. These TVs will also come in a variety of sizes including a 55-inch display, a 65-inch display, and a 77-inch display for those who can really afford it.

LG is boasting that their 4K OLED TVs will come with the company’s proprietary WRGB technology which reportedly helps with the creation of more life-like colors. They will also feature LG’s Optimized True Color technology that will help to regulate color stability. The TVs will also have a response time of 0.001ms which makes them a lot faster than your regular LCD panels.

Now for those who do not own a set of speakers yet, these new LG TVs will feature sound technology thanks to LG’s partnership with Harman/Kardon. Granted they might not necessarily be as good as a set of dedicated speakers, subwoofer, and an amplifier, it should be good enough to get the job done and anything more you will have to get those yourself.

Last but not least, LG’s 4K OLED TVs will be powered by webOS 2.0. This allows users to customize their TV experience and deliver an enhanced user interface. Pricing and availability have yet to be determined but hopefully we will learn more about them in the future.
