facebook-rooms

In October last year Facebook launched a new app for iOS called Rooms. Unlike many of the social network’s apps Rooms lets users stay anonymous so they can create and contribute to different forums all from their smartphones without ever having to reveal their identity. Today this application has received an update which brings two new features apart from bug fixes and performance improvements to make videos play faster.

Users are free to use different usernames for different forums on Rooms and since its independent from the social network it isn’t linked to users’ Facebook profiles at any stage.

Rooms can be filled with content like photos, videos, text that one can easily find on Facebook itself. Whoever owns a room determines its topic.

In an update released in December Facebook added a feature called Explore which showed users all the Rooms that they could join just with a single tap. The latest features build up on that.

Users are now allowed to discover and preview new rooms before they make a decision about whether or not they want to join it. Moreover the development team has fixed some things so that videos play faster and any underlying bugs are no longer a problem.

Facebook Rooms is available for free from the App Store.
