nexus-6-verizonWhen Google announced the Nexus 6, it was also revealed that the handset would be making its way to all of the major carriers, just like what you would have expected from a flagship smartphone. However despite those promises, Verizon is the only major carrier that has yet to release the handset.

The carrier had previously confirmed they would release it and despite some rumored dates, the handset is still a no-show, but could it be on its way? According to a recent sighting on Verizon’s website (see screenshot above), it seems that the handset could finally be on its way. The handset has been listed as “Coming soon” which we guess is something to get excited about.

Unfortunately there is still no word on when exactly the handset will be officially released, but we suppose a listing is better than no word at all, right? Plus a listing could also be a sign that the handset is nearing its release and Verizon is simply getting its marketing materials ready. It is unclear as to why there is even a delay to begin with, but hopefully Verizon customers won’t have to wait much longer.

The latest rumor has suggested that it could be released this month but given that we’ve been disappointed in the past, take it with a grain of salt for now and do check back with us in the coming weeks for the details.
