It was rumored a couple of weeks back that later this year LG would release another flagship device that would tout even better specifications than the LG G4. LG decided not to unveil its new flagship smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2015. Instead it is expected to conduct an event in April to unveil the LG G4. A report out of Korea claims that LG’s other high-end device for 2015 is the LG G4 Note.

As the name suggests the LG G4 Note is going to be a phablet. Apparently LG is looking to kill two proverbial birds with one stone. It might be developing this as a rival for Samsung’s next Galaxy Note phablet and the iPhone 6 Plus successor from Apple.

The report doesn’t reveal much about the specifications of this phablet, only that it will be a high-end device, no word as yet whether it will opt for the Snapdragon 810 or LG’s own processor.

If LG does release this device a few months from now this would mark its return to the high-end phablet market. It gave up after the Optimus G Pro and G Pro 2 which were apparently cannibalizing sales of its flagship smartphones.

The report doesn’t say when LG is going to bring this device to the market.
