What’s the longest Hearthstone you can think of? If you’ve played the game often, chances are it probably takes about a minute or so, even less, but it seems that the longest Hearthstone turn ever is actually a world breaking record of 45 hours. You might recall that yesterday we reported about a Hearthstone player who was trying to break the record with the longest turn ever.

It turns out that he managed to do just that and it seems that his calculations were slightly off. Mamytwink originally estimated around 43 hours but it looks like he exceeded that time with a grand total of 45 hours before he was disconnected from the servers. We’re not sure if this was due to a connection issue on his end or if Blizzard decided to put an end to it.

After all he did appeal to Blizzard to allow the turn to play itself out, but at 45 hours we have to say that it is pretty impressive, although admittedly a bit boring. For those wondering how that’s possible, basically Mamytwink relied on some card mechanics and some loopholes and the slow animation of the arcane missile spell to draw out one single turn.

He also relied on the other player casting the Ice Block spell to prevent that player from dying. Like we said it’s quite impressive and we’re sure Blizzard will probably look into that loophole, but in case you’re curious and want to watch how he set it up, check it out in the video above.
