zte-max-mini_2There seems to be a lot of emphasis being placed on phones made with more premium materials these days, and it looks like ZTE did not disappoint as they have officially announced two variants of the ZTE Nubia Z9 – the Nubia Z9 Max and the Nubia Z9 mini. Apart from the obvious difference in size, both phones will share some similar specs.

This includes the use of a titanium frame that will help make the handset appear more stylish and premium, although in the case of the Max, it will feature an extra aluminum alloy casing with a reinforced patterned glass as a back surface, while the mini will feature swappable backplates that users can choose a variety of different materials from, such as wood and denim.

zte-max-miniIn terms of hardware, the Max will come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and will feature Hi-Fi audio with a 7.1 channel surround sound thanks to the use of an AK4375 sound processor. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 16MP rear-facing camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera. It will come with a 2,900mAh battery.

As for the mini, this will feature a slightly smaller 5-inch Full HD display with a Snapdragon 615 chipset under its hood. It will come with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and will sport the same 16MP and 8MP camera combo as the Max. It will also come with a 2,900mAh battery, so if you don’t mind a smaller and slightly less powerful handset, perhaps the mini might be the one for you.
