BlackBerry-LogoIs BlackBerry working on an Android device? While the company’s CEO was a bit coy when addressing the rumors, it seems that recently evidence has surfaced that suggests that the company is indeed interested. According to recent reports, it looks like BlackBerry has been going about buying Android-related domains.

These domains are “AndroidSecured.com” and “AndroidSecured.net” and were found to have been registered to BlackBerry Limited. While it is unclear as to what BlackBerry plans on doing with these domains, the fact that Android is named in them does seem to hint that the Canadian company is indeed exploring the idea of using Android to a certain extent.

Previously we were treated to a leaked render that allegedly belonged to the BlackBerry Venice, an Android-powered slider phone, although as it stands details on the phone are rather thin. Previously BlackBerry’s CEO said that they weren’t closed to the idea of Android, but that they needed to find a way to create a secure Android handset before going ahead and mass producing it.

Either way it does sound like it has potential but until we hear from BlackBerry, we suppose all of this is just speculation for now, but do check back with us in the future where hopefully more details will be revealed.
