Drones are here to stay and there’s no doubt about it. Whether it’s recreational drones that can easily be purchased online or the ones that companies like Amazon want to use for delivering products, it’s hard to imagine a future where drones don’t play a role. What happens if your recreational drone crashes on top of somebody’s house? Do you ask nicely and risk their wrath because they don’t like the idea of a drone buzzing over their house or do you attempt a daring rescue of that crashed drone using another drone?

Harrisen Howes went with the second option when his small drone was crashed by one of his friends on his neighbor’s roof. Howes decided to bring out a larger drone to rescue that one and his effort was surprisingly successful.

Lucky for us Howes got all of that on tape and he even added some apt background music to the video to really give us a feel of this daring rescue mission.

The contraption was quite simple as it was a larger drone with coat hangers, that’s all he needed to rescue the crashed drone. Hooks made from those coat hangers worked quite nicely.

Howes says he had to come up with this contraption because access to the roof wasn’t possible, leading to the discovery that it is indeed possible to rescue a crashed drone with another drone.
