firefighter-drone-treeI suppose one particular enduring image of firefighters in the minds of many Americans would be the heroes who did their bit to rescue – or at least, tried to and eventually ended up losing their lives, folks who were trapped in the aftermath of the 9/11 attack in 2001. These were the real unsung heroes of the day, in addition to other fine men and women in uniform from various departments who also helped out. Fighting fires and rescuing trapped folks aren’t the only things that firefighters do – they also happen to rescue kittens who are stuck on a tree. Interestingly enough, here is a modern day rescue tale with a twist – apparently, a firefighter was called upon to rescue a toy drone that was stuck in a tree instead.

Embarking on a drone rescue mission on Christmas Day, five crew members were called to action as they set up a tall ladder in order to reach the tangled toy drone from the branches of a really tall tree that was located near the house of little Timiya, the drone “pilot”. These Station 2 firefighters were then touted to be heroes, at least in the eyes of the neighborhood that is located close to Jersey Road.
