htc-one-e9Ever since the “Stagefright” exploit hit the Android mobile operating system, Google has done their bit to ensure that there are more regular Android updates to keep a lid on things as well as to minimize the chances of “Stagefright”-level events repeating itself. In fact, the more recent security patches happen to be integrated within the December security update. HTC has also done their bit to ensure that these fixes released by Google will be made available to their handsets as soon as possible, where they started to seed the update on the HTC One A9, as well as the One E9 and not forgetting the One E9+.

HTC has started to seed the update for the HTC One E9 and One E9+ as part of the December Security Update, and it is no surprise at all that the very first market which will be on the receiving end of this update would be their home market – Taiwan. Of course, it goes without saying that this particular update can be expected to roll out in additional markets down the road.

The new firmware would be approximately 360MB in size – pretty manageable by all accounts, but it would be a whole lot better to obtain it via Wi-Fi rather than burn all that bandwidth on your data plan. The December Security Update is said to arrive with a slew of security fixes, bug fixes as well as overall system performance improvement. All in all, we have heard that HTC is here to stay.
