Ghostbusters will forever be a part of movie history, it’s one of those movies that continue to remain a part of pop culture, and many of you might have heard that there’s an all-female remake of this classic in the pipeline right now. According to a new report, Activision is actually working on a Ghostbusters game that will be released alongside the new movie.

It’s said that Activision is developing a full-fledged Ghostbusters game for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and it’s going to be separate from Warner’s LEGO Dimensions toys-to-life game.

So far Activision has not confirmed if it’s indeed making this new game and it’s also not clear whether the all-female cast will be appearing in the game or if they’ll only lend their voice to the characters. All of these crucial details are missing at this point in time.

There has been a Ghostbusters title in the past. It was back in 2008 when Ghostbusters: The Video Game was released, it was written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, with the original cast lending their voice to the characters in the game. That particular title was well received and it’s said that the title actually generated a renewed interested in Ghostbusters IP.

If this report is true and the game is going to coincide with the movie’s release then perhaps we will get to see it come July 15th when the all-female Ghostbusters movie hits the big screen.
