Console makers use different methods to promote the arrival of really big games on their gaming platforms and launching a limited edition version of their console based on that game is one of those methods. We’ve seen both Sony and Microsoft do this for the PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Sony is doing it again for Street Fighter 5. It has revealed four limited edition Street Fighter 5 PS4 units to commemorate the title’s release in Japan.

There aren’t any major differences between these limited edition consoles and a normal one, everything under the hood remains the same, all of the features and specifications remain the same. These limited edition ones have an engraved HDD cover based on Street Fighter 5.

For example, the first limited edition unit is just a Glacier White PlayStation 4 with the Street Fighter 5 logo engraved on the cover. The second white model is called the PS4 Street Fighter V Chun-Li Laura Edition and you can guess which character is gracing the cover.

The two Jet Black models include the PS4 Street Fighter V Ryu Edition and the PS4 Street Fighter V Ryu Necalli Edition. Customers will also get a custom theme and sleeve with each limited edition console, however, they won’t get a free copy of Street Fighter 5, they will have to purchase it separately.

All four limited edition Street Fighter 5 PS4s are only available in Japan for now, priced at roughly $320 plus tax, and there’s no word as yet if and when Sony will be bringing these limited edition consoles to other markets across the globe.
