Are you looking for a fast prime lens? If you’re a fan of Fujifilm, one of the fastest lenses the company is currently offering is the XF 56mm f/1.2 R. However if you wanted to go even faster, you might be interested to learn that Fujifilm could have a new lens in the works that could be its fastest XF lens yet.

According to Fuji Rumors, it seems that they have been told by a source that Fujifilms has an XF 33mm f/1.0 lens that could be announced at Photokina which is taking place in the later part of the year. With an aperture of f/1.0, this could be the company’s fastest XF lens for its mirrorless camera lineup to date, although we reckon that it’ll probably have an equally expensive price tag accompanying it.

This is actually not the first time Fuji Rumors reported on the lens. There was talk about this particular lens way back in April 2015, but it seems that management at Fujifilm has decided to give the go ahead and make the lens for real. However there is a long time between now and September and things could change from now till then.

Either way it’s best taken with a grain of salt for now, but photographers, what do you guys think of a 35mm f/1.0 lens? Yay or nay?
