Password security stock pictureWith all the debate going on about privacy and security, and how the FBI managed to hack the iPhone, we’re sure that there are many out there who are probably looking at their devices and are wondering just how secure they are. After all it is only a matter of time before the FBI figures out how to hack and access every device out there, right?

However a startup called Sirin has plans to do something about that. The company has recently announced that they are working on creating a smartphone that is ultra secure that will be aimed primarily at executives. Presumably because these executives hold a lot of information like company secrets and other financial information that they wouldn’t want competitors to get their hands on.

This device that has yet to be named is expected to be priced under $20,000, so obviously this is not for the average Joe. Speaking to Reuters, Sirin co-founder and president Moshe Hogeg said, “(Our) smartphone …brings the most advanced technology available – even if it is not commercially available – and combining it with almost military-grade security.”

Sirin is not the first company with such plans. BlackBerry used to be a company that was known back in the day as offering up high-security devices, at least until companies like Apple and Google caught up. Recently we also have devices like the Blackphone 2 that is meant to offer up similar protection, so we guess we’ll just have to wait until Sirin’s device is released to see just how secure it really is.
